The Illua Igloo Village - A Ski Tour on Talvatis

Available from 15th of December - 20th of March. Groups of 3 to 6 people.

A protected nature reserve called the Talvatis has recently been developed close to the village of Jokkmokk. This tour takes us skiing through the beautiful ancient pine forests in Talvatis on long wooden cross country skis in the deep, powdery snow.

To begin with, we follow a readymade ski track with the aim to travel on virgin snow as soon as possible. One of the highlights of this tour is the lunch and coffee break around an open campfire.

Moonlight skiing. Skiing in the evening under the moonlight is a very exciting experience. To ensure we experience the moonlight we need to consider the weather conditions - it is possible to have clear evenings during the days before and after the full moon. 

In November 2011 the full moon is on the 21th.
In December 2011 the full moon is on the 21th.
In January 2012 the full moon is on the 19th. 

Duration: 4 hours with lunch (*Option 2 - the Moonlight tours include dinner instead of lunch) - 3-6 people per tour.

Price includes: Rental of wooden skies, professional Ski guide, lunch (dinner) or one coffee break.
Price excludes: Transport to and from Jokkmokk and any alcoholic beverages.
