Fly Fishing Courses at Jockfall on the Kalix River

Available from 15th of May - 30th of August. Groups of 4 to 16 people.

This very exclusive fly fishing course takes place on the Kalix River in one of Swedens finest salmon rivers. Over two, three, four or five days, you will learn the basics of fly fishing with both one handed rods and modern two handed Spey rods. Ronny will be your guide on the course. Ronny is a very experienced fisherman who has been fishing along the Kalix River at his parents fishing centre since he was 10 years old. Ronny has caught many hundreds, maybe thousands, of salmon in Norway, Canada and other parts of Sweden over the last decade.

The course includes;
1 The basics of casting with one handed rods and modern two handed Spey rods and reels.
2 Learning how to read the water and to see where the fish are.
3 Rod structure and its applications.
4 Choosing flies and lines.
5 Learning the art of catching and handling fish with a fly rod.

The midnight sun and the nightime light gives this fishing course a fantastic added dimension.

Price: Swedish Kr 2,500 per person for a 2 day course
Price: Swedish Kr 3,800 per person for a 3 day course
Price: Swedish Kr 5,000 per person for a 4 day course
Price: Swedish Kr 6,300 per person for a 5 day course

Price includes: VAT, locally based qualified professional fishing guides, room and board in 4 bedroom cabins including all meals (prices are based on 4 people sharing a cabin, a supplement will apply for own cabin with less than 4 people), fishing equipment, fishing licenses and safety equipment, the casting course instrucion.
Price Excludes: Flights to and from Luleå and any alcoholic beverages. Transfers can be arranged at additional cost.
