Accommodation at The Victoria Fort

Available all year round - Groups of 6 to 30 people.

Our Survival Courses have a unique element to offer participants. All of our courses are based at a mountain military installtion called The Victoria Fort.  The Victoria Fort is the only remaining Cold War military bunker in the whole of Sweden that is run and maintained for guests to stay in.

The Fort can accommodate up to 30 guests within its six original ‘compartmentalised’ sleeping rooms and  has 6-12 beds per room. There is also a fully certified kitchen, conference room and full shower and toilet facilities. Catering is provided by professional local companies who offer their own extensive ranges of locally produced ingredients and meals. Bar facilities can also be arranged if required.

The Victoria Fort is located deep inside a mountain located 45km south of Jokkmokk, in Swedish Lapland, and offers a unique chance to experience day to day life as it was for the soldiers in the Cold War era.  All of the furniture, equipment and even the paint on the walls come from the original 1960's installation.

For groups who would like to combine survival training with the opportunity to add adventure trips such as snowmobile safaris, clay pigeon shooting, paintball, go-karting, skiing and snowshoe expeditions, fishing trips and wildlife tours, the Victoria Fort offers an original and exciting base to explore the Arctic Circle from.
